Spirit Halloween raises $89,561 for CHoR

Members of the Spirit of Children team stopped by Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU last week to celebrate their 2019 Spirit of Children Campaign donation of $89,561! Since 2007, their team and the Richmond community have raised $620,000 for the kids we serve.

These donations have made it possible for our Child Life department to hire five additional child life specialists in our inpatient, emergency and mental health settings! Child life specialists support patients and families during medical procedures, help children understand why they are in the hospital and provide a wide range of activities to help kids meet medical goals and have fun.
