Child Life Zone opens in the Children’s Tower

The 3,400-square-foot Child Life Zone is now open in the Children’s Tower! This therapeutic play space is dedicated to support the social and emotional wellbeing of the kiddos at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. Thanks to our unmatched community, we raised $2.6 million—an anonymous donor contributed a lead gift of $2 million, and we also received $300,000 each from our unstoppable partners at Estes Express Lines and Meta!
“The Child Life Zone opens a whole new world of possibilities for our team to care for kids – and for them to interact with each other – amid their medical journeys. We’re immensely grateful to the donors who made this amazing space possible,” said Bethany Fisackerly, child life manager at CHoR.
