Area Credit Unions Support Kids

Thirteen Richmond-area credit unions collectively raised $51,634 for Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU (CHoR) in 2017. Funds were raised throughout the year in various ways including special events, employee contributions, icon campaigns, Anthem LemonAid stands, and a golf tournament.

Special thanks to Virginia Credit Union for raising $15,578, Call Federal Credit Union for raising $2,447, RVA Financial for raising $2,238 and Chesterfield Federal Credit Union for raising $1,812. The Richmond Chapter of Credit Unions also raised over $21,000 at its annual golf tournament last summer.

Virginia Credit Union’s year-long fundraising efforts culminated in a campaign with the VCU Rams in which $2 was donated for every assist made by the men’s and women’s basketball teams during the 2017-2018 season.
