For the second consecutive year, Panda Express has doubled its overall fundraising support, raising $10 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2016. In Richmond, VA, four fundraising Panda Express locations raised $24,808 for Children’s Hospital of Richmond in VCU (CHoR) in 2016. This total is an considerable increase over their $8,218 donation in 2015.

Local Panda Express locations prompt in-store fundraising year-round by asking each guest to donate at the conclusion of each translation. Employees recognize contributions by ringing a bell and saying “Thank you” aloud across the restaurant.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals coordinator, Chelsea Morris, visited local restaurants to thank employees for their continued support. She is pictured with Nissa Rathore, Manager of the Panda Express on West Broad Street, the top fundraising store in the region with $7,071 raised in 2016.

Local Panda Express managers also visited CHoR for a tour of the new Outpatient Children’s Pavilion and to present a check for funds raised in 2016. In addition to this significant monetary donation, Panda Express is making a food donation to RamTHON at VCU, a fundraising group who organizes a dance marathon to benefit CHoR. The Panda Express at VCU will be donating and serving dinner to 600 hungry students this February 18th.
