Speedway has been Fueling Miracles for Kids in Central Virginia for 30 Years!

Speedway’s partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals began in 1991 and has since raised more than $133 million for the children’s charity through various fundraising activities. Locally Speedway locations in Central Virginia raised over $5,200 in 2020 for Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. In the last five years, Speedway has raised more than $29,500 for CHoR.

Through these donations, CHoR can provide treatment and healing that our patients desperately need today so that they can fulfill their potential for tomorrow.

Speedway helps local CHoR patients like Carmela make a comeback after recovering from a crushing traumatic injury. Carmela was brought into the trauma bay for evaluation. Because she was brought to a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and academic medical center, she had the benefit of specialists in caring for her complex injuries, as well as the unique needs of a child with severe trauma.
